Scrimping on the lenses is a bit like buying a car with great bodywork, but an inferior engine. While many opticians use a reasonable standard of lens, a better quality lens can change the way you see the world.

Spectacle lenses come in a surprisingly wide range of shapes, sizes and styles. So we have to ensure you get:

  1. The right prescription for your eyes – that’s why our eye examinations are so thorough.
  2. The best lens for your prescription. Single vision, bifocal, varifocal, occupational…
  3. Lenses that fit your needs. For example, if you favour lighter frames, or you spend a lot of time outside, or do a lot of work at the computer, it will all help us tailor your lenses to suit.

Making sure you get the right lenses

Your choice of lenses can be even more individual than your choice of frames. Perhaps you’d like tinted or photochromic lenses. What about a hard coating? Or an anti-glare finish? Our dispensing optician, Barbara, can talk you through all your options in more detail.
